Wallop Labs, LLC dba Fable ("we," "our," or "us") is committed to protecting your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and your rights when you use Fable (the "App").

By using the App, you agree to the practices described here.

2. Information We Collect

2.1 Account Creation

Fable uses biometric authentication (Face ID, Touch ID, or device passcode) to secure your journal. This means:

• No email or password required to create an account
• Your device's secure enclave protects access to your journal
• Optional: Add a phone number for account recovery and two-factor authentication backup

2.2 Journal Content

When you write in the App, we store your journal entries securely. Your entries are:

• Encrypted in transit (TLS) and at rest (AES-256)
• Never sold, shared, or used for advertising
• Never used to train AI models

2.3 AI Processing

To provide features like illustrations, prophecies, and story analysis, your journal text is processed by AI services (currently OpenAI). This processing:

• Happens only to deliver App features you request
• Is not used to train or improve AI models (per OpenAI's API data usage policy)
• Is subject to OpenAI's Privacy Policy and API Data Usage Policy

2.4 Technical Information

We collect basic technical data (device type, app version, usage patterns) to improve the App and troubleshoot issues.

3. Who Can Access Your Journal

Your entries are private. Our company policy prohibits staff from reading user journal content.

What we may access for operational purposes:

• Aggregated, anonymized statistics (e.g., "average entries per user")
• AI-generated analysis outputs (e.g., quality scores for prophecies)
• Technical logs for debugging (which do not include journal text)

We do not read individual journal entries. This is company policy, enforced through access controls and audit logging.

4. How We Use Your Information

We use your information to:

• Create and manage your account
• Provide App features (illustrations, prophecies, missions, characters)
• Send important service notices
• Improve the App based on aggregated usage data

We do not:

• Sell your data
• Share your content with advertisers
• Use your journal to train AI models

No system is 100% secure, but we work continuously to protect your data.

7. Data Retention and Deletion

We retain your data as long as needed to provide the App. You can:

• Delete individual entries anytime in the App
• Delete your entire account anytime in Settings
• Request a full data export anytime

When you delete your account, we permanently remove your journal entries and personal data.

8. Your Rights

Depending on where you live, you may have rights to:

• Access your personal data
• Correct inaccurate data
• Delete your data
• Export your data
• Object to certain processing

9. Children

The App is not intended for users under 13. We do not knowingly collect data from children under 13. If we learn a child has provided personal information, we will delete it.

10. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we'll post the revised policy here and update the "Last Updated" date. Material changes will be communicated via the App or email.
